HAWK LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
As we move forward in our efforts to make education at Holy Cross School more student centered, we are launching a new program of student leaders. Available for students in grades fifth through eighth, students on the core Hawk Leadership Team will provide service to the entire school community. The team will assist faculty, administration, and students with such services as School Family activities, Prayer Services, traditions from our liturgical year, fundraising, outreach to our community, school stewardship, spirit activities, internal and external marketing activities, and others that help our students contribute to the growth and culture of Holy Cross School.
Students from grades 5 through 8 may be considered for the core Hawk Leadership Team by volunteering their names to their teachers. In addition, teachers and administrators will nominate students they consider well qualified for the leadership role. A committee will review the candidates and determine the members of the Hawk Leadership Team. Once the team is established, it will meet biweekly with a faculty supervisor to determine and organize activities and responsibilities. As part of the leadership team, students from Pre-K to grade 4 will determine an ambassador from each class to meet with the core team to share class news, ideas, and interests.
We are excited about this opportunity to engage our students in leadership roles, while they practice utilizing their faith within and for our school community. We strive to help our students find ways to serve each other, contribute to the school’s growth and development, and be an active part of creating the school we want.
Please join us!
You will gain valuable information, guidance, and inspiration
that will benefit your children and your whole family.
