Hello 2nd grade families,
This week was a great one! As you all know, second grade has started multiplication. The children are excited about this math unit. We have been playing math games, and practicing multiplication facts. I suggest you continue to practice multiplication facts at home.
The next two weeks will be busy (Zoo field trip, 4 day weekend, Field day, and Swan Lake field trip.) Because of our busy schedule, we will extend our Language Arts Unit (Lesson 27.) The spelling test will be June 2nd. You should still expect a new reading log and math packet.
Wednesday is around the corner, and the children are excited!
Here are a few things to remember,
Students must be in my classroom by 8:00am. This will give them the time to use the restroom and get into their assigned cars.
Please make sure you provide their car seat if they are will required to use it. We will be leaving at 9:15am, we are scheduled to enter the Zoo at 10am.
All students must wear uniforms, pack a few snacks, and a lunch.
It is a short drive, students are required to leave their electronics at home.
We are scheduled to leave the Santa Barbara Zoo at 1:30pm. We will arrive at Holy Cross before 2:30pm.
Swan Lake Field Trip June 2nd- We still need parent volunteers for our field trip to Swan Lake June 2nd. Please email me if you can volunteer. Also, please state how many students you can take!
