Mrs. Shannon Brown is the Preschool Director at Holy Cross School. With over ten years teaching experience, she earned her Bachelors Degree in Art from California State University Fresno and went on to take Multiple Subject Clad Credential courses from National University. She holds an Early Childhood Education Certificate from the University of California at Los Angeles, and is continuing her education there, earning the Early Childhood Administrative component. Mrs. Brown has been a substitute teacher, taught Preschool CCD, as well as K-8 Art History, and for the past nine years has been a Preschool teacher in the Santa Clarita Valley.
A life long, faith-filled Catholic, Mrs. Brown believes every child must know they are a miracle from God. An enthusiastic educator, she has a proven ability teaching play-based programs that enhance a child’s well being through developmentally appropriate curriculum. Dedicated to instilling the love of God in all learning experiences, Mrs. Brown takes to heart the words of Jesus, “Let the little children come to me.”
Working at Holy Cross School is a wonderful Catholic environment and in her words, “A dream come true.” She has always envisioned herself teaching in an uplifting and rewarding setting and being part of the Mission is an exciting and added bonus.
In her free time, Mrs. Brown enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time wither her husband, two sons, and a very precocious Labradoodle named Francis.
