Mr. Esteban A. López is our 7th and 8th Multiage classroom teacher. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a Minor in Chicana/o Studies at UCLA. He is working towards completing his Master’s Degree in Education and Multi-subject California Teaching Credential at Loyola Marymount University. Before becoming a part of the Holy Cross Family, Mr. López taught Junior High for two years at Santa Clara Elementary School in Oxnard.
Being given the opportunity to teach at Holy Cross School, a Catholic institution, touches him deeply within his heart and soul because it embraces the morals and represents the values and spiritual foundation which his grandparents and parents have inculcated in him. Mr. López loves his decision to join the Holy Cross Family because it allows him the ability to integrate his own Catholic faith into the curriculum. It is through these values and morals, provided by his parents and reinforced through his thirteen years of a Catholic Education, that he intends on continuing to be the best educator possible. It is with these principals, in addition to the tools, ideas and concepts gained through his education, that will allow him to become a more spiritually sound educator, as well as being an active male role model. Mr. López has an indomitable spirit and a desire to be the best in all he does. He is a team player and has a never-ending determination to aid those in need. These attributes are some of the personal qualities he will bring to Holy Cross School and his community.
Mr. López is an avid runner, lover of music, and a UCLA Bruins fan. He takes pleasure in spending time with his friends and familia, especially his Abuelita and God Daughter. He also enjoys attending UCLA Football games with his parents and three sisters.
