Mrs. Kendra Kemp teaches First Grade at Holy Cross School. Mrs. Kemp earned her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies at CSUN in 2005. Before joining the faculty at Holy Cross, she taught Kindergarten and First Grade for six years at Pinecrest School Simi Valley. After that she taught Fourth Grade for one year in the Las Virgenes School district. While teaching there, she learned many things about a child’s development, including their social-emotional development.
Mrs. Kemp comes to Holy Cross with a great devotion not only to teaching but to teaching the Catholic faith. She believes that being able to teach young children about their faith in a school setting is a wonderful gift. She understands and sees great importance in building a child’s social-emotional skills, faithfulness, and academic skills as the foundation to teaching and developing the whole child.
In her spare time, Mrs. Kemp enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. One of her favorite things to do is hiking with her dog, Toby.
